After a pretty glum fall sports season which saw Truman stumble in several of their battles against Chrisman, winter sports renewed the rivalry in resounding favor for the Patriots. The top ten ranked Truman girls’ basketball team pummeled the Bears by double-digits in a game that was over well before halftime. And the boys’ basketball team hit 8 straight free throws down the stretch to stave off a late comeback bid for a victory in their rivalry games.
The two wins pushed the Patriots back out in front in the chase for the Noland Cup. The Patriots would just need to go .500 in the rest of the Chrisman vs Truman competitions this year to retain the Cup for a third consecutive year. They’ve won the cup each year since its inception.
Below you’ll find video highlights from the game along with reaction from the boys and girls teams. Plus there’s a photo gallery available from both games.
