During this past weekend the Truman baseball team lost to Liberty North 3-2. The Patriots built a 2-0 lead via the long ball. However, they were unable to hold the lead and eventually lost 2-0.. But in their loss Rhett Khan hit managed to crank solo home run. The Pats are now 2-6 to begin the year season which is obviously not the start they had hoped for. Baseball is a long season though, and there’s still plenty of time for Truman to change their fortunes.
On the pitch, the girls’ soccer team dropped two games at the Pembroke tournament this past weekend. They lost a 2-1 heart-breaker to St.Pius. Then they were drubbed 4-0 by host school Pembroke. It was a rocky conclusion to tournament that seemed so positive after they picked up a win in their first game of the tournament.
