BitLife: A Review

BY ROSA PRESTON

I don’t know if I’m the only one who does this, but sometimes when I’m bored, I’ll go to the app store, install a random app, play it for a bit, then become bored again and uninstall it. Whether or not I’m the only one who does it, I don’t know or really care, but this is kind of how I find apps I like and install to play for a while. And by doing this, I discovered one of my favorite games, BitLife.

In BitLife, you can play as a bunch of different custom people. You can choose to have your character randomly generated, or you can make custom characters of people from shows or movies, or even make yourself and see what you do in your fake life. I’ve done it, and let’s just say that the results were, uhh, interesting.

But the really fun part is when you actually play the game as whatever character you choose. There is a ton of stuff you can do, including getting married, going to jail, or even becoming famous. And along with hundreds of achievements and 40 different ribbons for completing lives, there are also challenges they release every once in a while, such as the “Alphabet Baby Challenge.” This was the first ever challenge in Bitlife, where you had to have 26 babies, each with a different starting letter name.

Not to mention Bitlife is quite popular among the gaming community. Many Youtubers such as Bijuu Mike, Jacksepticeye, Gloom, etc., post videos playing Bitlife, and sometimes they’re sponsored by them. In fact, one of the achievements, called “Bitboi’s” involves watching a Bijuu Mike video with a friend.

As I said, there are so many things you can do in Bitlife, and it can keep you occupied for ages. However, some of the amazing things you can do are restricted to “Bitizens” which means you can unlock many different things such as pet stores, generations, and even God Mode, where you can customize your character’s looks, stats, etc. All you have to do is pay a single $4.99 up front, and nothing else after that. Other than that optional payment, the game is free to download. Find it on your Google Play Store (if you have that). And if you think this sounds fun, wait until I tell you about DogLife.
