The Truman track team stepped up in a big way last Friday. For the first time since coach Mark Summers took over the boys’ track team raised the city crown. Distance running machine Jack Getman led the way with the titles in the 800, 1,600, and 3,200 meter races. Aaron Gietzen won both hurdles races for Truman. And the boys’ 4×200 meter relay team won the last event of the night to help the Patriots get a win. On the girls’ side Kennedy Rucker and Molly McClung both took home wins to help boost their teams. We caught up with some of the winners to get their thoughts on the meet.
