Coming off a strong performance in the conference championships the cross country team hoped for more of the same at districts. Unfortunately, the times that helped them win conference were off this week, and only one runner managed to qualify for state. That runner is senior Josh Nunn.
Nunn took third place in the district meet with a time of 16:33. He’s the highest district placer and first state qualifier from Truman since Cole Rockhold in 2013.
Next week Nunn will compete in the state cross country tournament and hope to replicate Rockhold’s top five finish. We’ll be there to cover all of the action. Today we caught up with Nunn to discuss his big accomplishment.
