Each March, the population of America is fixated on one thing- basketball. Through the TV, ESPN app notifications, or even watching the game live, this final tournament that teams endure, in a way, become our own battle as well. We’re talking about brackets. This year, the Truman High School Media department is hosting the first school-wide March Madness Bracket Competition. Whether you’re notorious for making it deep into the competition each year or you’re ripping up the piece of paper before the first round even finishes, everyone is welcome to submit their predictions for the chance to win a $25 gift card to Chipotle.
Instructions and Scoring:
- To submit a bracket, tweet a picture of it to @THSnewsmedia on Twitter
- Brackets must be completely filled out in order to enter
- 1 point for each game chosen right in the round of 64
- 2 points for each game chosen right in the round of 32
- 3 points for each game chosen right in the Sweet 16
- 4 points for each game chosen right in the Elite 8
- 5 points for each game chosen right in the Final 4
- 6 points for correctly picking the champion.
- In the case of a tie, the contestants will predict the score of the final, closest will take the win.
