Truman Patriots Girls Golf bounces back in a big way with win against Blue Springs South. The match was hosted by the Patriots at Drumm Farm so familiarity may have played a small role for the Patriots win, “We practice on the executive course a lot. It’s a track we’re very familiar with,” said coach Joey Penner.
The final score of the match was 180-192 in Truman’s favor, led by seniors Lauren Floyd and Holly Emory. Floyd earned a medal with a score of 40 and Emory was runner-up with a score of 44. Other results from the Truman team are Katelyn Lane (53), Katelyn Bragg (47), and Salma Villegas (49).
Coach Penner says, “It feels great to bounce back with a win at home. This win gives our girls some much needed confidence going into the Independence Invitational tournament tomorrow.”
