The Truman football team celebrated 150 years of ISD and Homecoming weekend with a little history of their own. The Patriots piled up over 70 points for the first time in school history as they blitzed an over-matched Van Horn side 75-13.
Truman’s backfield combined to tote the rock for a whopping 549 yards on the night. That type of production helped them score on their first eight possessions.
The Patriots defense also proved up to the task. They forced seven turnovers in the game and held the Van Horn offense in check all night long.
Truman returns to action on Friday when they play St. Joseph’s Central.
