It’s a well known fact that Taylor Swift is dating Chiefs future Hall of Famer Travis Kelce. That has caused many people to root for the Chiefs and many people to hate the Chiefs, because anyone popular as Swift will have fans and critics alike. The Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl last Sunday. Swift was watching and the crowd booed her.
It’s not unusual to see Swift at Chiefs games becauseSwift and Kelce support each other. Swift goes to many Chiefs games. Kelce went to her Eras tour concert multiple times. When Swift shouts out Kelce in her songs the crowd cheers. But when Swift goes to Chiefs games people sometimes complain and/or boo her. That is not fair to Swift and shows the double standard that exists when it comes to spousal support. They should be able to support each other without one of them being judged as if they are ruining a sport.
The reason for some of the boos on Sunday could be because people have said that Swift is an Eagles fan. She is from Pennsylvania. Now she is cheering on the Chiefs for Kelce. So, when she was shown on the big screen, the Eagles fans booed. I understand it might be frustrating for them, but Swift doesn’t deserve their disrespect. She should be able to support her boyfriend. The Eagles also won. Another reason why people booed could be that they are threatened by her. The Chiefs fan might have booed along with the Eagle ones.
Recently, Swift has been shown and talked about at a lot of Chiefs games. That can be frustrating for people who just want to watch football, but it’s also no different than celebrities being shown courtside at essentially every NBA game. At the beginning people were happy to see Swift at Chiefs games. Now the media is showing her on the big screen too often for fans who just care about the game. However, it’s not like Swift is trying to draw that much attention to herself. She’s not asking the cameras to show her or the television stations to plaster her face on their broadcast. Maybe fans instead should be upset with those working the cameras or the broadcasters choosing to take the shot. No one should boo anyone. Since Swift is shown a lot, people who don’t like her also don’t like the Chiefs. A lot of people do, though. Most Swifties are Chiefs fans.
Taylor Swift is associated with the Chiefs now, but she tries not to draw a lot of attention. Some people like it and some people don’t. Swift should be able to support Kelce without being booed.
