With wins over Oak Park and North Kansas City, Truman Volleyball became 2023-24 conference champions. This was done with lots of dedication and hard work put forth by the team. Truman Volleyball ended the regular season with a record of 15-11-2, after going 1-2 in a Truman-hosted tournament over the weekend.
When asked about the feelings of bringing home a conference championship, senior volleyball player Sophia Crimmins states, “Considering that this was my senior season, winning our conference championship felt like a great way to end. We had to fight really hard in order to win some of our games, and it was satisfying to finally get the title.” While winning this title was a big accomplishment, there is always a next step. The team kicks off districts with a match against Rockbridge at 5:00 p.m. on October 20th. According to Crimmins, “ We need to keep a positive attitude and continue playing as a team if we want to keep winning in districts.”
